8.1 The External Scanner

Running an External scan
To run an External Scan you will need to navigate to the External Scanner page in the RoboShadow portal which you can find under the scanner section in the menu bar at the top of the page:
Once you are on this page you can enter up to 5 IPs or Domains to scan, to enter IPs or Domains you will need to press the box that says ‘Enter an IP address or hostname…’ once here you can either select an IP from the dropdown or by typing one in and clicking the blue button that says ‘Add Hostname’
After selecting the hostnames you wish to scan, click the green button that says ‘Quick Scan’ which will bring you to a pop up menu where you can configure your scan:
After you have configured your scan, press the ‘Start’ button and your scan will start running:
If you would like to view previous scans that you have run, go to the External Scanner dashboard and scroll down, this will lead you to the Scan History page:
